Thrust roller bearings are used to bear axial and radial combined loads, but the radial load should not exceed 55% of the axial load. Compared with other thrust roller bearings, this kind of bearing has lower friction coefficient, higher rotational speed and centering performance. It is mainly used in heavy machine tools, high-power marine gearboxes, oil drilling rigs, vertical motors and other machinery.
Thrust ball bearings are designed to withstand thrust loads at high speeds and consist of gasket rings with ball rolling raceway grooves. Because the ring is a cushion, thrust ball bearings are divided into two types: flat base cushion and aligning spherical cushion. Besides, the bearing can bear axial load, but it can not bear radial load.It is only suitable for those machines which bear one side axial load and have low speed, such as crane hook, vertical pump, vertical centrifuge, jack, low speed reducer, etc. Bearing rings, seat and rolling parts are detached and can be detached separately.
